SAXCO INTERNATIONAL PROVIDES PACKAGING IMPACT FOR NEW COLORADO PREMIUM VODKA

Colorado Spirits Corporation of Manitou Springs, Colo. , is introducing its new and distinct Colorado Premium Vodka, a triple-distilled spirit made from a fine proprietary blend of mid-Western grains and pure Colorado mountain spring water.

To provide a broad impact to the all-important packaging aspect of the new product’s introduction, Colorado Spirits Corporation engaged the services of Saxco International Inc. of Horsham, Pa. , long-time worldwide packaging specialists for the wine and spirits industry.

Colorado Premium Vodka is being rolled out in three sizes, 750-mL, 1-L and 1.75-mL.  Saxco supplied high-quality, flint glass bottles in all three sizes from a European supplier.

In addition, J.R. Cole of Charlotte, N.C., was engaged to make the multi-colored, pressure-sensitive labels.  Because of its size, the 1.75-mL bottle required the services of Quest of Hillside, N.J., another long-time Saxco vendor, to apply the pressure-sensitive labels.  The black plastic cork stoppers for all the bottles were completed by J.C. Ribeiro of Portugal, also a long-time vendor.

“The new premium vodka is being introduced first throughout Colorado and then in several Western states,” state Gail and Rob Stephens, president and vice president of operations, respectively, of Colorado Spirits Corporation.  “From there, we’ll be introducing it to marketplaces throughout the United States .”  The Stephenses formed a Colorado corporation to produce and market world-class distilled products.

The new Colorado Premium Vodka is being targeted to men and women, ages 25 to 45, who enjoy fine and distinctive premium spirits.  “The purity of our new vodka is at a very high level.  It has been multi-filtered throughout the distilling process,” explains Rob Stephens.  “We think it will gain recognition and prominence very quickly among discerning vodka lovers.”

The spring water used to produce Colorado Premium Vodka comes from snow that melted thousands of years ago.  It bubbles to the surface from 8,000 feet below, creating a unique spring.  The water is filtered to a submicron level for an ultra smooth, fresh, clean taste.  For more information on Colorado Spirits Corporation and Colorado Premium Vodka, go to www.coloradovodka.com.

“This project provided Saxco International with the opportunity to showcase its creative abilities, industry-wide knowledge and broad experience in delivering a total packaging solution for an exciting new product,” states Herbert L. Sachs, president of Saxco International.
